On 17 June 2025, the ACCEPT team made our first visit to Scienceworks, where we were warmly welcomed by the Museums Victoria staff. This initial meeting served as an important foundation for building partnership in science education and beyond. Together, we explored potential avenues for collaboration, particularly in co-designing science curriculum resources that meaningfully incorporate the Asia and Australia’s Engagement with Asia (AAEA) cross-curriculum priority.
The Museums Victoria team generously introduced their extensive online collections and key physical displays, opening up new possibilities for integrating museum resources into school learning as well as pre-service teacher education. Moving forward, both teams expressed strong interest in continuing to develop collaborative research initiatives and pursuing joint funding opportunities in the coming years.
